Lot description

Skaters and sleigh near a ruined tower - Signed l.r. - Oil on panel, 20.7 x 25.6 cm - Provenance: - Simonis & Buunk Kunsthandel, Ede - Private collection, The Netherlands - N.B.: Van Velzen was a pupil of Nicolaas Johannes Roosenboom (1805-1880) and, like his teacher, was loved for his romantic depictions of summer- and winter landscapes.
