QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) Of exceptional large size, the centre of the interior well carved in shallow relief to depict a graceful medallion of wannianqing, nandina, chrysanthemum, bamboo and aster, the exterior crisply delineated by two grooved bands, one below the flat rim and the other tapering to the edge of the slightly convex base raised on six ruyi-head feet, the pair of loop-handles modelled as dragons with their foliate wings outspread and the curled brows protruding backward to the the mouth rim of the bowl, each loop suspending a loose ring, the well-polished semi-translucent stone of an even milky-white tone 12 1/2 in.
