Catherine Read (1723-1778) Portrait of Lady Isabella Stanhope, later Countess of Sefton (1748-1819), half-length, in Hussar's costume, with a blue pelisse over a braided red dolman with inscription 'Isabella Countess of Sefton/Daughter Willυaυm. Earl of Harring/ton' (on the original label attached to the backboard) pastel on paper 23¼ x 18 in. (59 x 45.7 cm.) in a pierced and carved contemporary gilded frame
