AN IMPORTANT IMPERIAL LARGE WHITE JADE CARVING OF A CONCH SHELL QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY Naturalistically carved as a conch shell, the exterior and underside carved in low relief with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, those around the sides alternating with shou characters positioned above clouds, with two bats at the rim, the interior well hollowed, the semi-translucent stone of pale greenish-white tone 8 in. (20.3 cm.) long
