AN EXTREMELY RARE SIX-POST CANOPY ZITAN BED QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD THIS IS A PREMIUM LOT.CLIENTS WHO WISH TO BID ON PREMIUM LOTS ARE REQUESTED TO COMPLETE THE PREMIUM LOT PRE-REGISTRATION 3 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE SALE.BIDnow ONLINE BIDDING SERVICE IS NOT AVALIABLE. resting on four thick cabriole legs carved at the corners with dragon heads, their bodies stretching along the side aprons, the aprons further embellished with double-cash coins and wan symbols, all centred on a double- ruyi tied together with crossed axe-heads, the narrow sides centred on a beribboned chime and crossed axe-heads, rising to five sections of railing containing inset panels of chilong , their bodies disolving into a foliate scroll ground, below open panels with waisted fluted spandels and corner balusters, the six-square posts rising to a canopy frame with horizontal panels further enclosing striding chilong with foliate scrolling bodies, the interior ceiling inset with thirteen ornately relief-carved panels each with long-tailed phoenix frolicking on a dense foliate ground, the interior base of the bedframe with soft wood planks 222 by 278 by 177 cm. 87 1/2 by 109 1/2 by 69 3/4 in.
