Jean Carlu Emprunt National vintage poster 1938 31.75 h x 47.25 w in (81 x 120 cm) In red, blue and white-naturally-this homage to commerce was executed for a national bond drive "for economic recovery"-evidently the last public borrowing before World War II. Quite impressive, this was one of Carlu's last designs in France before his departure for the United States, where he would remain for the duration of the war. Imp.
