An original American 1-sheet poster for the documentary film, When We Were Kings (Polygram, 1996), hand-signed by Muhammad Ali in gold marker. When We Were Kings is an acclaimed documentary centered around the legendary 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” heavyweight boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Beyond the fight itself, the film explores the cultural and political significance of the event, capturing Ali’s charisma, the atmosphere surrounding the match, and its impact on Black identity and global sports history. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from JSA, and a photograph of Ali signing posters.
