Antique French mantel clock 'La Melodie Par Aug. Moreau (Medile d'Or)' ('The Melody' by August Moreau "Gold Medal") featuring a muse wrapped in garlands and holding a harp standing atop a green onyx base with gilt ormulu acanthus feet. The porcelain dial has a gilt medallion, Arabic numerals, faded makers mark and brass bezel encased by a scrolling ormulu surround. The pair of garnitures are figural maidens emerging out of the waves with an arm aloft. Aug Moreau incised on all three bases. Has key and pendulum. Clock: 27" x 14" x 8', Garnitures: 21" x 6.5" x 6". *note: garnitures are missing what they once held; one thumb is broken off. Age related patina. **PICK UP ONLY**
