THOMAS JEFFERSON (1743-1826) SIGNED 1780 HENRY CO., VIRGINIA LAND GRANT DOCUMENT, printed and manuscript on paper, granting 53 acres of land in Henry Co., Virginia to George Carter dated October 10, 1768. Signed by Governor Thomas Jefferson and dated September 1, 1780, with a papered seal in the lower left corner. Professionally framed and matted under glass in a modern frame. 8 1/4" x 13 1/2" object, 25 1/2" x 23 OA. Catalogue Note: Thomas Jefferson was the 2nd Governor of Virginia (1779-1781), 1st Secretary of State (1790-1793), 2nd Vice President (1797-1801), and 3rd President of the United States (1801-1809).
