Kahn (American, 1924-2010), oil on canvas figural street scene painting, dated 1980, depicting a group of figures gathered outside a storefront with a visible LAMPS shop window and softly rendered architectural elements. The figures are portrayed in a naturalistic yet slightly Impressionistic manner, with muted tones and subtle lighting creating a contemplative urban atmosphere. Signed and dated S. Kahn 80 upper right. Verso retains a plaque reading N.A.W.A. - 1981 The Anne Barnett Memorial Prize Oil, indicating exhibition recognition. Presented in an ornate carved and gilt decorated frame.
