Viggo Langer (Danish-German, 1860-1942), oil on canvas pastoral landscape composition depicting a flock of grazing sheep in an open meadow beneath a luminous sky, bordered by trees and rolling countryside in the distance. The work is rendered in an Impressionistic manner with soft natural tones and atmospheric light. Signed and dated lower right Viggo Langer 1928. The verso bears handwritten inscriptions including the artists name and title. Presented in a gilt wood frame. Provenance: Property from a Jupiter Island, Florida estate. Work Size: 19.5 x 24.5 in. Dimensions: 24.5 X 29.5 X 2 in. Condition: Good overall condition with typical age-related surface wear. The frame exhibits wear, finish loss, and scattered abrasions along the edges and corners.
