Evert Moll, Dutch 1878-1955- Two busy harbour scenes: Harbour scene with a three masted ship; and Harbour scene with a windmill; oils on panel, each signed 'Evert Moll' (the first lower right, the second lower left), the first 18.8 x 29.1 cm., the second 20.9 x 27 cm., two (2), (unframed) Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Moll was celebrated for his shipping scenes, particularly depicting the port of Rotterdam, where he spent much of his life. His work exhibits the influence of an earlier generation of Hague School painters such as Jacob Maris (1837-1899) and Anton Mauve (1838-1888).
