Harry Mitton Wilson, British 1873-1923- Lady with a hand mirror; oil on canvas, 45.5 x 30.5 cm. Provenance: with Pyms Gallery, London [no.46/1998]. Note: Harry Mitton Wilson (also known as Henry Mitton Wilson) was a London based landscape painter. He exhibited widely including 22 paintings at London's Royal Academy of Arts. Though best known for his landscapes, he also painted a number of figurative scenes, with one such painting of his wife selling at Christie's, London, on 20 June 2013, lot 22, (£3,500 hammer). She may also be the sitter in the present work.
