Oval oil on canvas after Jean-Baptiste Greuze's celebrated composition depicting a wistful young woman in a pale silk gown, her dishevelled hair adorned with flowers, and is carrying the broken vessel on her right arm, all set against a classical architectural background. Presented in a carved and gilded rococo frame.
