Max Kaus 1891 Berlin - 1977 Berlin - "Young and old" - woodcut/paper. 20.3 x 8.9 cm, 21.5 x 15.5 cm. 42 x 30 cm (dimensions with frame). Passe-partout. Fully visible under glass, framed. Trimmed. Max Kaus attended the School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1908. Stimulated and inspired as a student of Heckel, he created lithographs and woodcuts. 1928 Günther-Wagner Prize Hanover. He has held a full professorship since 1949.
