Rita Mount (Canadian, 1888-1967) Pencil Sketch, Marine Scene titled Bateau de Gaspesie, Fusain no. 233, Double Sided. Depicting boats in a harbour on one side, figural sketches on the other. Both sides signed Rita M. Dimensions: Frame measures 10 inches H x 12 W, images measure 2.75 x 4.5 inches w within matting. Rita Mount was a prominent Montreal-born painter and illustrator known for her marine scenes and landscapes. Her artistic style is often described as a fusion of Impressionism and decorative realism, characterized by vibrant colours and fluent brushwork.
