A Victorian silver vinaigrette, by George Betjemann & Sons, London 1875, retailed by Asprey, of rectangular form, the exterior decorated with a band of pointed scrolls, with a central cypher, the hinged cover opens to reveal a hinged pierced grille, decorated with flowers and scrolls, the gilt interior with faint retailer's stamp, 'ASPREY / 166 / BOND ST', marked to the interior of both covers, and also to the grille, length 5.1cm, weight 46g/1.47ozt approx
