Frame: 16 1/4" x 18 1/4" Image: 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" Condition: The frame has a few nicks, and there are areas of craquelure on the image; otherwise, in overall good condition. Bio: Alfred Pollentine (1836–1890) was a British painter known for his finely detailed marine and coastal scenes. He frequently depicted Venetian canals, harbors, and seaside towns, using an approach to light and atmosphere. Pollentine’s works are celebrated for their serene compositions and delicate rendering of architecture and water, capturing the charm of 19th-century European coastal life.
