Lot description
Michael Leu (Taiwanese-American, b. 1950). A whimsical color lithograph on paper titled "Fuzzy on G.G. Bridge," depicting a giant, stylized cat perched atop the Golden Gate Bridge. The scene features a vibrant blue bay with several white sailboats and the iconic orange bridge towers. The work is rendered in the artist's signature illustrative style with bold, expressive brushstrokes and a primary color palette dominated by blue, orange, and white. Signed and dated in the image lower left: "mou '87". Further inscribed in pencil in the lower margin: "mou 3/20 '87," identifying this piece as number three of a limited edition of twenty. The artwork is housed under glass in a black frame with a double mat consisting of a thin red inner border and a wide charcoal gray outer layer. The verso features a brown paper dust cover with a hanging wire and a gallery label from "B & J Picture Whse." in Hallandale, Florida.
