Lorenzo E. Ghiglieri (American, 1931-2020), Bald Eagle on Top of the World, monumental bronze sculpture depicting an American bald eagle with wings fully spread, dramatically perched atop a globe-form base. The composition features finely detailed featherwork and a powerful stance with outstretched talons, conveying motion and strength. The globe is rendered in deep blue tones with raised gilt landmasses, creating a striking contrast against the darker patinated eagle. Signed to the base Lorenzo Ghiglieri, dated 1999, and numbered 68/125 to the side of the bronze pedestal. The work is mounted on a square granite stone base. Dimensions: 46 X 20 X 19 in.
