An RIAA-Certified “Gold” Sales Award presented to concert promoter and producer Jerry Weintraub to commemorate the sale of more than one million dollars worth of the long-playing John Denver record album An Evening with John Denver. Weintraub signed John Denver in 1970, turning the relatively unknown singer into a global superstar through strategic radio campaigns, TV specials, and film roles such as Oh, God! Weintraub managed Denver’s career for years before their partnership ended acrimoniously.
