1833 signed and addressed free frank envelope panel by John Gully, measuring approximately 3 x 4.75 inches. Gully was an English bare-knuckle prizefighter who later became a successful racehorse owner and Member of Parliament, reflecting a rare transition from sport to public life in the early 19th century. Also includes a copy of the book John Gully and His Times by Bernard Darwin. Signed address panel comes with an Auction LOA from JSA from a previous auction.
