Lot description

This original oil and sand painting on canvas is by Boris Chezar and depicts a bustling Parisian street scene. The composition features the Sacre-Coeur Basilica in the background, a horse-drawn carriage, and several figures in Belle Epoque-style dress positioned near flower stalls. Executed in a mid-20th-century Impressionist style, the work utilizes heavy impasto and palette knife techniques. The medium is mixed with sand to create a highly tactile, textured surface. The work is signed in the lower left in black pigment with the artist signature CHEZAR. The painting is housed in a contemporary wood frame with a black-finished outer edge, a gold-toned decorative inner fillet, and a cream linen-covered liner. Dimensions 25.00"L x 21.00"H
