A cold-cast porcelain figurine with a hand-painted matte finish titled Leda, model number 1337C, designed by Giuseppe Armani (Italian, 1935-2006) for Florence Sculture d'Arte. The sculpture depicts the mythological figure Leda seated in a green gown embracing a swan, set upon a base decorated with pink flowers and foliage. The piece is mounted on a circular, tiered wooden base with a dark finish. Markings include the incised signature of Giuseppe Armani on the front of the figurine base. The reverse features a handwritten signature for Fabrizio Tani, a blue stamped crowned N mark, and text reading limited edition 64 / 5000 copyright 1999 FLORENCE. An oval gold-tone label on the wooden base reads FLORENCE GIUSEPPE ARMANI. The underside of the wooden base retains an original manufacturer label and a barcode label identifying the model as LEDA 1337C, Made in Italy.
