Tim Cotterill (British, b. 1946), professionally known as Frogman, limited edition bronze sculpture titled Surf. This piece is part of the Frogman Miniature Collection and depicts a frog in a dynamic, low-profile crawling pose. The sculpture is cast in bronze using the lost wax method and features a hand-applied polychrome patina. The color transitions from a mottled bright green on the head and torso to a deep cobalt blue on the hindquarters, terminating in glossy black limbs with polished bronze highlights on the toe tips. The underside of the sculpture bears several markings: an incised signature Tim on the left rear foot, the edition number 2409/5000 incised on the right rear foot, and a stamped FROGMAN hallmark with a crown symbol on the belly. The item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Frogman Miniature Collection which confirms the title, edition details, and a purchase date of May 14, 2010.
