Offered here for your consideration are two original paintings by Michael Chiago. This group original watercolors features Tohono O'odam people dancing in two different types of ceremonies. Artist and illustrator, Michael Chiago, was born in the Kohatk Village on the Tohono Oâodham reservation in Arizona. Many of Chiagoâs paintings provide a glimpse into the traditions of the Oâodham, based in part on his recollections of growing up on the reservation, as well as the stories told by his tribal elders.
