Lot description
Alois Carigiet 1902-1985 Arosa. 1931. Condition B+: time-staining in background; repaired tears, repaired pin holes and minor overpainting at edges; creases along horizontal folds; ink stamp in lower image. Carigiet was a graphic designer, painter, children's book illustrator and costume and set designer for the theater. This "1931 poster by Alois Carigiet shows summer skiing at Arosa - one of the three earliest Graubünden resorts" (Art of Skiing p. 87). Art of Skiing p. 87, Swiss Winter Sports 29 (var).
