Lot description
A black Wand-style neoprene guitar strap which Jerry Garcia used throughout the 1990s, including at his very last concert at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois on July 9th, 1995. Steve Parish tells use he used this strap on multiple guitars including the Steve Cripe-built Lightning Bolt guitar and Doug Irwin’s Rosebud. It can be seen slung around Jerry’s shoulders throughout the Soldier Field show. The strap has a stretchy neoprene section with woven ends, plastic buckles, rivets, and a distinctive leather square on the side that faces the audience. As seen in photos from the tour, the top two rivets next to the leather square are rusted while the bottom two are still black. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwCKeXsdWBI&t=6s
