PETER BELA MAYER (HUNGARIAN-AMERICAN, 1887-1993) LANDSCAPE WITH MOUNTAIN VILLAGE, oil on board, possibly a Vermont view, executed in the impressionist style with vibrant palette, signed lower left, retaining original printed Salmangundi Club exhibition label attached verso giving title as "Shanty Street". Housed in a period, possibly original, frame. Circa 1949. 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" sight, 12 1/4" x 15 1/4" OA.
