A compelling rendered lithograph by William Weintraub, this work captures the quiet dignity of an aged Jewish man whose deeply lined face and abundant beard are modeled with confident, expressive linework. Weintraub employs a dramatic interplay of dark ink and white heightening on toned paper, creating a luminous sense of depth that brings the sitter's features to life. The result is a portrait filled with character, warmth, and a palpable human presence. The lithograph is signed in the plate lower left.
