Antique etching titled âA Cottageâ or âCottage on a Shoreâ by Franz Edmund Weirotter (Austrian, 1733â1771). The composition depicts a pastoral riverside scene with figures, boats, and a rustic cottage, rendered with expressive linework and atmospheric detail characteristic of 18th century European printmaking. This impression was printed posthumously from the artistâs original plate. Weirotter is a recognized painter and etcher of the period, and his works remain sought after by collectors of early European prints.
