Lot description

New York City, 1968 JOEL MEYEROWITZ Black-and-white photographic print of New York City, originally photographed by Joel Meyerowitz in 1968. The image depicts Manhattan in the 1960s, capturing a dense urban environment filled with rising steam from street heating vents and the constant flow of traffic. The print was produced in 2010 as a later digital print, executed in black and white with glossy lamination and hot foil stamping. It is mounted on a wooden support and was printed by SERAG using a Misomex mounting press (CTP process). The work reflects Meyerowitz’s early street photography, defined by keen observation, rhythm, and urban energy.
