Lot description
A stone lithograph c.1965 by the late Alaskan artist, Fred Machetanz (1908-2002) entitled "Taking the Sun". The work depicts a white husky dog resting upon sunny snow-packed ground adjacent to his dog kennel, with an expansive spruce treeline and mountain range in the distance. Titled lower left, marked Edition-100, and hand-signed in graphite lower right. Matted and framed, it measures approximately 17.5" x 20.5" overall with a sight view of 8.75" x 11.75".
