Lot description
An original oil painting on panel by Alaska artist Joan Arend Kickbush (1926-2006), depicting a trio of rosy-cheeked Alaska Native children running through the snow, the ground and sky with a textured quality, executed with a pallet knife in typical Kickbush fashion, also speckled with white paint mimicking a snowy foreground; the edges of the unpainted panel are visible along the frame in a few spots. It is signed in the lower right-hand corner. Housed in the original frame, it measures approximately 19.5" x 25.5" overall with a sight view of 11.75" x 18".
