Lot description
An original oil painting on panel by Alaska artist Joan Arend Kickbush (1926-2006), depicting a group of rosy-cheeked Alaska Native children and a pup at the counter of a banking institution, all seeming to be in a playful mood, including the teller; the background features a textured quality, executed with a pallet knife in typical Kickbush fashion. This piece is highly unique, as most of Kickbush's artworks feature subjects outside enjoying the snow, or in more traditional scenes. It is signed in the lower right-hand corner. Housed in the original frame, it measures approximately 23.5" x 32.5" overall with a sight view of 14.75" x 24".
