Lot description
An original watercolor on paper by the renowned Alaskan artist, Byron Birdsall (1937-2016), titled "McKinley Snow Bank". The artwork is simple, yet stunning, depicting a snowy mountainous landscape scene in unique shades of yellows, blues, and greens. It is signed and dated 1978, lower right, in the artist's customary block letters. There appears to be some discoloration or material underneath the glass on the matting, as photographed. It has complementary forest green matting with a silver-toned frame, which measures approximately 20.25" x 26.25" overall, with a sight view of 14" x 20". Note Regarding Shipping Services: This item is exceptionally large and/or heavy, and may require custom boxing or crating depending on the intended destination and available carrier services.
