A work engraved by Crispijn de Passe the Elder (1564-1637) from a series of twelve Sibyls. Shown is Sibylla Samia half-length, in profile to left, holding a roll of paper and sitting before a crown of thorns; at upper left a vision of Christ holding the cross. Engraving from circa 1615 . Part of a series of twelve plates called 'The Sybilles' designed and published by Crispijn de Passe the Elder.
