Karl Krummacher 1867 Elberfeld - 1955 Worpswede - Portrait of a Peasant Woman - Oil/cardboard. 39.5 x 34 cm. 47 x 42 cm (measure with frame). Signed lower right: Krummacher. Frame. - Lit.: Th.-B. XXII, p. 10. The painter attended the Düsseldorf, Weimar, and Munich academies. Krummacher dedicated himself to landscape painting and created portraits of rural life. He permanently settled in Worpswede in 1899.
