Max Arthur Cohn (1903-1998) Landscape Oil Painting c. 1930s-1940s, USA Oil on canvased board painting depicting a landscape with railroad tracks leading into the distance, a large coal tower, and several buildings on either side, set against a backdrop of rolling hills. It emphasizes the dichotomy between the dark industrial structures and the light rural backdrop. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The work is housed in a painted wood frame with a burlap-lined, gilt-accented border.
