Monogrammed FK and dated 1968 (oil) lower right, signed, titled and dated verso: Fritz Köthe "STP" 1968 (black felt-tip pen). Framed. Köthe's smooth, precise painting style creates a hyperrealistic surface, while the arrangement appears surreal at the same time. The dense, almost claustrophobic arrangement of individual motor parts fills the pictorial space and leaves hardly any free background.
