Consulted with Dr Irena Zantovska Murray HonFRIBA, Professor Jaromir Zemina, Dr Jiri Machalicky and Vladimir Lekes. Authenticity certificate enclosed. In 1973, Medek created his last planned cycle, Moving Graves, supplemented by a limited quantity of works smaller in scale but no less significant, including the canvas on offer. The symbolic composition of Prisms, composed of several geometric shapes, resembles the entrance to a mysterious cave or fortress with a red ball at the end. To create the spatial structure of the painting, the artist used oil paint and enamel, which became the key to achieving his stunning and difficult-to-imitate technique.
