GEORGE HOWELL GAY (AMERICAN, 1858-1931) NEW ENGLAND COASTAL LANDSCAPE, watercolor on paper, a luminous depiction of a rocky shoreline with a number of seagulls flying to the right of center. Signed "Geo. Howell Gay" lower right. Housed in a period, probably original, frame with a plaque titling the work and naming the artist. Circa 1920. 13 1/2" x 23 1/2" sight, 19 1/2" x 29 1/2" OA.
