Lot description
Signed and dated studio glass sculpture by American artist Christopher Ries (b. 1952), executed 10/29/98 and titled Afterglow. The work features Rise's trademark precision–cut optical crystal, with sweeping, twisted planes that refract light dramatically. Frosted and polished surfaces create strong internal reflections and prismatic highlights—classic indicators of Rise's late-1990s aesthetic. 5w x 2 1/2d x 7 1/4h
