Thomas Daniell, RA, and William Daniell, RA, British 1749-1840, and British 1769-1837- Six prints from 'A picturesque voyage to India by the way of China': 'Dutch Residence at Anjere-Point'; 'Malaye Proas & Canoes'; 'Anjere-Point Straits of Sunda'; 'Java Head'; and two illustrations of 'Malays of Java'; hand-coloured aquatints, each 18.5 x 25.2 cm., six (6), (mounted / unframed). Provenance: Private Collection, Malaysia. Note: Originally issued in ten parts, the 'Picturesque Voyage' documents Thomas and William Daniell's long voyage to China and on to India in 1785. They left England on board the Indiaman Atlas in April of that year, and arrived in Whampoa, China, in August.
