DAVID MANUEL (OR/WA, B. 1940) BRONZE SCULPTURE, "Hide and Seek," owl and bison skull, limited edition #88/100, artist signed MANUEL and dated 1980, also signed MITCHELL and dated 1980 on the back, displayed on conformingly shaped walnut plinth, 9"H x 7 7/8"L x 7 1/4"D. Note: Fred L. Mitchell was a prominent collector and early patron whose commissions significantly helped launch the career of artist David Manuel. Their relationship is characterized by Mitchell's role as a major supporter of Manuel's work, particularly his bronze sculptures.
