DAVID MANUEL (OR/WA, B. 1940) BRONZE SCULPTURE, "LEARNIN'", fawn and papoose, limited edition #15/125, artist signed MANUEL and dated 1979, also signed 'F. Mitchell' across the back edge, on conformingly shaped walnut plinth, 5 7/8"H x 11"L x 6 1/2"D. Note: Fred L. Mitchell was a prominent collector and early patron whose commissions significantly helped launch the career of artist David Manuel. Their relationship is characterized by Mitchell's role as a major supporter of Manuel's work, particularly his bronze sculptures.
