Three piece collection of African drip glaze earthenware pottery consisting of a large bowl with concave lip edge and circular foot by Ladi Kwali, premier artist of the Abuja Pottery Training Centre, Nigeria, along with a pair of two smaller bowls of similiar form by Kande Ushafa, the interiors decorated with sunburst reserves, each stamped by artist with Arabic seal; largest 12.5" pair 9" diameter; Provenance: Estate of Clara Juanita "Vicki" Jones of Cosby, Tennessee, Epidemiologist and operations officer, WHO Smallpox Eradication Program, Nigeria, acquired circa 1965
