Michael McKenzie (American, born 1953), Cream of Crop Soup, a graphic-labeled metal sculpture in the form of a Campbell's soup can, created in 1997. Referencing the legacy of Pop Art and commercial branding, this work playfully reinterprets consumer iconography in a sculptural format. The can is empty and fabricated in metal with printed labeling. Signed, dated, and numbered "21/50" on the underside, indicating its place in a limited edition of 50. A bold commentary on mass production and art in the everyday. Dimensions: 7 X 6 X 6 in. Condition: Good overall vintage condition having mild surface wear and toning.
