ARTHUR MERRIC BOYD (1920-99) Vase earthenware vase 12.5cm high, 10cm diameter PROVENANCE Acquired directly from the artist, circa 1955 Thence by descent OTHER NOTES The vendors father was a carpenter who worked on the railway in Rural Victoria in the 1950s. He became friendly with the Boyd family and assist with small household jobs receiving these bowls in lieu of payment.
