Two books by C.T. Courtney Lewis on English print-makers of the nineteenth century. Both are handsome quarto volumes bound in red cloth, and were published in London by Sampson Low circa 1920. Near-fine copies. Titles are: George Baxter, The Picture Painter and The Story of Picture Printing in England during the Nineteenth Century. Profusely illustrated throughout. Contains excellent biographical content on English engravers, print-makers, lithographers and aquatint artists of the period.
